Senior Research and Development Engineer

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Physics. Masters or PhD preferred.
  • 5 plus years in Filter Design field preferred.
  • Strong math and theoretical analysis background
  • Experience in the GHz frequency range a plus
  • Various CAD Software experience, i.e., Eagle, P-Spice, Parfil and Sonnet.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and Development, i.e. design of electronic frequency filters and PCBs.
  • Provide design and analysis guidance and support for the Engineering department
  • Design a broad range of filters
  • Aid in the development of design guidelines for filters
  • Provide technical support to Sales department
  • Interact and provide support with customers during design stages of customer specifications.
  • Interact with Production department to diagnose and solve technical issues
  • Initiate and implement engineering improvements

Electronic Drafting

Consult with engineers to discuss and interpret design concepts, and determine requirements of detailed working drawings.

 

Examine electronic schematics and supporting documents to develop, compute, and verify specifications for drafting data, such as configuration of parts, dimensions, and tolerances in order to create PCB layouts.

 

Provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to communicate to others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.

 

Create and convert DXF files using multiple CAD programs in order to design and create PCB’s utilizing a mechanical PCB router.

 

Update Company Web Site Product Catalog.

 

Five or more years experience desired

Experience in electronic printed circuit board assembly.

Ability to work with miniature electronic components.

Those with electronic soldering skills but with less experience may be considered.

Surface Mount Experience a plus

IPC Certification a plus

Mount all types of crystals which Dept. manufactures.

Ability to work under a microscope to paste crystals.

Ability to set-up necessary equipment needed to complete all task required for the completion of crystal manufacturing all the way through the Electroplating & De-plating process.

Work with chemicals in a safe and controlled manner.

Understand and comprehend the process for which all acceptable and rejected crystals are handled.

Ability to understand and perform duties as assigned.

Comply with quality standards, ISO procedures & requirements.
